Officials and Volunteers

Why NAMSC needs Motorsport Officials and Volunteers

Without volunteer officials, motorsport wouldn’t be possible. Car clubs rely on volunteer officials to fulfil vital marshal roles such as fire and rescue, recovery, grid, pit lane, scrutineers and flags. The more members of a club who can help be an official at our events the better & safer the events will be!

Why become a Motorsport Official

Besides competing yourself, its the next best thing to motorsport.  You become part of a community of like minded people, who love to be part of a family who does it for the drivers; to keep them safe, and to keep Motorsport fair.

You can get up, close, and personal with the cars in the scrutineering bays, pit lane or starting grid, or have the "best view in the house" on the track as a flag marshal for example.

How to become a Motorsport Official

If this sounds like something you would be interested in or able to help out the club with, get in touch via the "contact us" form below (just leave licence details blank)

What will happen at the first Motorsport event

You will be partnered up with an experienced official on your first day (and optionally following occasions if you like) to familiarise yourself with the roles and responsiblities, and gain valuable experience to have the safest and most enjoyable day.

You will be shown safety procedures, how to use the communication system (CB Radios) and be introduced to the chief marshal of your area for example to name a few.
