ENTRIES CLOSE 12PM THURSDAY 16 OCTOBER. ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AT THE EVENT. The final round of the 2025 NT Motorkhana Championship is from 5.30pm Friday 17 October at Hidden Valley. Whether you want to compete for Outright or Junior honours, or just wish to come and try motorkhana and have some fun, you are welcome to join in! Single event licences are available for casual participants. Vehicle occupants must wear enclosed shoes and short or long sleeves on shirts are recommended (no singlets or strappy tops). Working seatbelts are required for each occupant. Vehicles must pass a safety inspection - no leaks, no loose objects or apparent faults, and rubber on tyres. Entry is $40 for adults (18+) and $10 for juniors (12-17). Spread the word to friends and family and join the fun! Motorkhana is a motorsport where drivers attempt to navigate courses laid out with markers as quickly as possible. There are tight maneouvres, handbrake turns, reversing, and a good memory can help! The Darwin events involve production-based cars, so anyone can join in and have the opportunity to do well. You do NOT need lots of power or a specialised car or equipment. Some of the best performing vehicles in motorkhana are small hatchbacks. Vehicle speeds are low with first gear and reverse used. Drivers as young as twelve are eligible for the relevant licence, so Motorkhana is a great way to develop driving skills, car control and understand vehicle handling before getting out on the road. Register now! By registering for this event you are acknowledging that you have read and accepted the Supplementary Regulations and the Motorsport Australia Risk Warning, Disclaimer and Indemnity available at https://motorsport.org.au/docs/default-source/disclaimer/motorsport-australia_risk-warning-and-disclaimer_third-person.pdf?Status=Temp&sfvrsn=fe36fdf9_4. 2025 Jakes Steel & Welding Rejex Classic Rally
02-08-2025 07:00 – 03-08-2025 21:00
The 2025 Jake's Steel & Welding Rejex Rally will take place Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 August 2025.  The event will start in Darwin on the morning of Saturday 2 August and travel to Pine Creek for the night, then onto Katherine the next day.   This year recognises the 70th Anniversary of the inaugural Rejex Rally, which took place in response to the Redex Trial not coming to the Top End, hence we were "Rejex".   If you are not familiar with the Rejex Rally, it comprises cruising between locations with navigational challenges, questions and activities along the way.  There are also motorkhana-style driving tests at certain locations.  Points are assigned for completion of all activities, and there are awards for outright and handicap & class results based on vehicle age.   The intent of the Rejex Rally is for enthusiasts of all ages and motor vehicles of all eras to come together for a great social weekend of driving and as well as a cruise on public roads there are low-speed driving challenges at designated locations.  Some of these shall be motorkhana-style courses whilst other challenges are designed to test the driver whilst providing a level playing field for cars of all eras.  This has included activities such as: navigating a low speed slalom whilst trying not to spill a full cup of water held outside the vehicle following non-verbal directions from your navigator whilst they stand at the finish of the course determining the narrowest gap your car may fit through with more points deducted the greater the gap to the vehicle body Drivers of 12 (twelve) and older are eligible to register as Competitors, but must hold a Motorsport Australia licence for the event.  Vehicles driven on transport stages (including trailers) must be registered for on-road use and when on the road must be driven by a person with a suitable NT or equivalent drivers licence.  The intent is for vehicles participating in the Rejex Rally to be driven throughout the event, not trailered, and Competitors may only earn full points in the Rejex Rally if they make a genuine effort to drive their vehicle for all parts of the event.   Registration is open until Monday 30 June 2025.   Entry is $160 per person.  Please provide details for each person attending and indicate if they will be driving the vehicle as a competitor or not.  Competing drivers are those attempting the driving tests and will be assigned a competitor number.  If you are only sharing on-road driving duties you need a valid road licence, not a Motorsport Australia licence.   All competing drivers must have a Motorsport Australia Speed or higher licence for the event.  If you don't have one a single event licence can be purchased at event sign-on for $35.   A discount is available on accommodation to registered participants - contact rejexrally@gmail.com to get the code once you've submitted your entry through this website.   Stay tuned for updates and spread the word to friends and family!   Indicate "Going" on Facebook at www.facebook.com/events/1190674042347897   Thank you to our supporters for helping make this event happen: Website: www.jakessteel.com.au Facebook: Jake's Steel & Welding Pty Ltd Website: https://acarsdarwin.au/ Facebook: Airport Car Storage Website: www.civscapes.com.au Facebook: Civscapes NT Website: www.recentral.com.au/projects Facebook: Real Estate Central Projects Facebook: Councillor Kev Harlan - Litchfield Council NT Government Website: NT Government Website: www.mortgagechoice.com.au/darwin Facebook: Mortgage Choice Darwin City Website: https://geckont.com/ Facebook: Gecko NT
